Hike : On the top of the island

We start our hike climbing up to the top of Garajonay mountain, the highest mountain on the island and if weather permits we can enjoy beautiful views to the neighboring islands of Tenerife, La Palma and El Hierro. After a break we continue our path through a part of low vegetation of the Garajonay National Park. Here we can observe how nature is recovering after the fire of 2012. We reach the limit of the Park, where the landscape changes and offers wonderful views over huge valleys. We pass through the hamlets Las Manatiales and El Cercado, where potters continue to make vessels in the same way as they have been doing since ancient times. We finish our hike today in the hamlet of Chipude, located at the foot of the emblematic meseta La Fortaleza
